Dr Greg Lavery, Rype Office: Outside In
Currently, the built environment is estimated to contribute 40% of the UK’s carbon emissions, and it is estimated that the construction sector contributes up to 11% of global carbon emissions. In this month’s CE Stories, we are focusing on stories of circularity and innovation in the materials, spaces, and structures that we encounter every day.
One such story is Rype Office. With office furniture the biggest source of carbon emissions in a commercial building, Rype Office has set out to combat this by refurbishing and re-homing existing office furniture, supplying high quality, low carbon furniture, and providing Net Zero consulting and sustainable design services for office spaces.
In this SME Short, Managing Director Dr Greg Lavery provides an insight into the company and its CE work, and opportunities and advice for others looking to develop circularity within their organisation or business.
