Its purpose is to help environmental experts to understand the development, structure and mode of operation of the EU Taxonomy. The EU Taxonomy is a classification system for sustainable economic activities. Its overall goal is to create transparency and disclose the impact of investments. The Taxonomy aims to enable the financial system to guide investment decisions into a more sustainable direction and thus accelerate the transition to a circular economy in Europe and beyond
