Investigation on Plasma Sprayed Coatings of Cement By-Pass Dust and Similar Industrial Wastes – 2022
The proposed research project comprises of processing, characterisation, diagnostics, process optimisation and performance evaluation of a carefully designed feasibility study to carry out plasma spray of ceramic coatings using cement by-pass dust and other industrial wastes. This study will introduce a new pathway to process waste materials while introducing waste-to-wealth paradigm in the spray coatings area. Findings from this study will guide the immediate efforts necessary to deposit phase transformed, energetically stable ceramics such as cement dust, and other construction by product materials that are otherwise going to the landfill.
